This weekend sees 2017’s Firework Champions move onto Belvoir Castle. As many of you will know, last year, we here at Fireworks Crazy made our debut appearance at this particular Firework Champions event, and had the honour of taking home the top spot.
In 2017, Fireworks Champions returns to this magical location once with another line-up of great performers. We’re not at Belvoir Castle this time, but will be at the September 2nd competition at Eastnor Castle.
If you’re planning on heading to Belvoir Castle this weekend, what you can expect to see?
Belvoir Castle – what happens on the day?
The show in Belvoir Castle will be the third Firework Champions event of 2017. Check out the videos of what happened at the first event at Newby Hall and the second at Stanford Hall.
The show is happening this Saturday, August 12th. Those interested in attending will find Belvoir Castle around 15 minutes’ drive from Grantham, Leicestershire. If you’re travelling by car the venue is easy to reach from all directions. Belvoir Castle is a beautiful backdrop for the event. The castle has been an ancestral home of the Duke and Duchess of Rowland for almost 1,000 years. Due to the events during the War of the Roses, the English Civil War and the 19th Century fire the building has been rebuilt and renovated a number of times.
On the day, you can enter the grounds from 5.00 pm onwards. The first team will perform at 9.30pm with the closing display beginning at 10.30 pm. You can vote for the teams during the event via an SMS.
The groups performing at Belvoir Castle
The grand finale is created by Firework Champions organisers MLE Pyrotechnics. While the other displays will combine pyrotechnics and music for a 10-minute show, the closing display will entertain you for a little longer.

So, what are the competing teams this year in Belvoir Castle?
Gala Fireworks
The Gala Fireworks team has great memories from Belvoir Castle; they won there back in 2013. The team started performing shows in 2009 and has won awards across the UK. Its most recent win came last year in Plymouth at the British Fireworks Championships. The group has also performed for big companies such as Paramount Pictures, so you can expect a stunning show from Gala to match their reputation.
Magic and Miracle Fireworks
Magic and Miracle Fireworks is another returning team in the competition. The group has been performing for crowds across the UK and they recently designed a show for the prestigious jewellery company, Pandora. You can expect many unique firework combinations and a fantastic pyromusical show.
Two Tigers Fireworks
You’ll also get to enjoy a show by Two Tigers Fireworks. This small team has mainly performed at local events in Devon. Two Tigers use a lot of music and fireworks in their displays, but they also regularly add elements like video projections and flame lasers to their shows. You can expect an artistic and impressive show from this team.
Get Involved with Firework Champions 2017 at Belvoir Castle
You can still get tickets to the event online from the official Fireworks Champions 2017 website. If you can’t make the show on August 12th, you’ll still have three more nights to enjoy the show. Don’t forget; you can find fireworks from our online store and brighten your summer nights with them if you can’t make it to a Firework Champions event this year.
To support us, come and see us on September 2nd in Eastnor Castle.
