Things are constantly changing, even in the world of fireworks. New products are developed to replace the old and new regulatory changes make some firework products illegal to sell.
But the beauty of fireworks never changes! We decided to reminisce a bit and show you our ten favourite fireworks from yesteryear.
1. Mountain of Fear by Panda
This gigantic firework used to be among our top sellers. The pyramid-like firework started with little whistling comets and grew into larger breaks and bangs, with a colourful finish of a mine-type firework at the end. In 150 seconds, you were able to experience an astonishing 102 shots!
2. Dream Lady by Royal Party
We also miss this stunningly colourful cake by Royal Party. It was among the best low noise fireworks and it created a beautiful stream of comets in lovely silver colours. It was such a great firework for parties and a great addition to a budget-conscious wedding!
3. Super Bomb by Panda
2006 was the year when Sven-Göran Eriksson quit as the manager of the England football team and the Queen celebrated her 80th birthday. That’s also when Super Bomb was among our top sellers! The 36 shot fireworks created stunning colourful bursts in 70 seconds.
4.49ers Original by Royal Party
The 49ers Original is, or well was, a magnificent cake by Royal Party. The 49 shots created beautiful golden willows and silver palms in the sky. The firing power is equally impressive, with the firework loaded with 980g of powder!
5. Ghost Rocket by Panda
If you were looking for a great rocket back in the day, we would definitely have recommended you Panda’s Ghost Rocket Pack. With four rockets for the price of £12, you had a stunning range of effects from crackles to dragon eggs. It was a definite winner every time!
6. King’s Anger by Panda
King’s Anger was another stunning firework by Panda. The 16 shot mine created some amazing colourful bursts and the long tails added plenty of drama to this firework. It was a great stable for any display at the time.
7. Mount Etna by Panda
We also loved this crackling fountain by Panda. The fountain pack had five unique fireworks and each fountain ran for 45 seconds. The effects varied and created some stunning combinations. It was a fun addition to any display and a definite favourite to include for children’s parties!
8. Wall of Fire by Panda
If you were looking for along-lasting firework, the Wall of Fire would have been our pick. The nearly 2-minute stream of constant crackling colour with stunning effects makes this one of the best cake-type fireworks we’ve had in our collection. Its finale of blue crackles added a surprising final touch!
9. Big Brother Rockets by Royal Party
Not sure if these rockets made you think about the Orwell classic or the TV Show, but we are sure about the smile they brought on people’s faces! Big Brother rockets were no ordinary type of rockets. They had the maximum powder weight at the time and reached a height of 125 metres! These rockets were the best way to finish a fireworks display.
10. Monsoon Sky by Panda
Finally, Monsoon Sky was 90-second barrage with stunning effects and colours. It started out slowly but by the time it was finished, you couldn’t believe all the things you just saw! Monsoon Sky was a great way to add colour and effects to your display.
The above fireworks might be long gone now, but the amazing effects and colours still manage to make us happy. The good news is that we have a selection of stunning fireworks to replace these little beauties from the yesteryear.
