Looking forward to the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition 2016

The Philippine International Pyromusical Competition (PIPC) is back for another year, and promises to be bigger and more exciting than ever before!

What is the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition?

Fireworks at Manila Bay

PIPC started life as the World Pyro Olympics, holding that name from 2005 – 2008, before turning to its current moniker in 2010. PIPC sees fireworks display companies around the world put fireworks to music – hence the term ‘pyromusical’ – and compete to be crowned champions. The event is organized and chiefly sponsored by Platinum Fireworks of the Philippines.

While PIPC is a hugely popular event among the residents of Manila, the Philippine capital, it is also a huge visitor attraction for the city, with many tourists making a point of being in the city during the Saturdays across February and March when the event takes place.
This year’s events again take place at the Seaside Boulevard at the SM Mall of Asia, in Pasay in the south of Manila.
