When it comes to wedding décor, the lighting you use at your wedding venue will play a key role. In this series of blog posts, we’ve been providing you tips to create a fireworks themed wedding. In this post, we shall tackle the lighting you want to use at your wedding reception in order to celebrate and enhance this sparkling theme.
Fairy Lights
Fairy lights are an easy option and they offer plenty of different ideas in terms of how you want to display them. You could opt for normal fairy lights in light yellow or a white shine, for example. If it fits your wedding décor, pick a pastel blue light for a different type of ambience.
In terms of hanging the fairy lights, you could place strings of lights right above the tables in the wedding venue. This can work especially well if you have long rows of tables. For round tables, you want something a bit different.
The other option is to use fairy lights around the wedding reception room. For example, you could hang them like a stream on the surrounding walls. A wall of fairy lights would look especially beautiful behind the bride and groom’s table.
Spherical LED Lights
Another great alternative is to opt for spherical lighting solutions using small LED lights. The shape and the tiny little bulbs will create an illusion of the firework exploding in the night sky. These spherical LED lights would look beautiful on top of round tables – you could even find them in individual LED strings that you could place inside a vase.
Combine Lights with Crystals
When it comes to lighting up your wedding reception, you can add to the sparkling theme by combining lights with crystals and glass in general. When the light hits the glass, it disperses and adds to the glistening in the room. Therefore, you should have plenty of crystal décor and you could even consider adding strings of small mirrors next to your fairy lights.
When you want your wedding reception to look like a sparkling fireworks show, you want to use plenty of small lights. You want to add faint sparkle to every corner of the room, and with the above ideas, you can do just that.
