Four Ways to Decorate Your Wedding Cake

Do you want to know what’s the real showstopper at a wedding?
It’s the wedding cake.
Everyone quite literally wants a piece of it and it’ll be the talk of the wedding – if you decorate it in style.
To continue our series around creating a firework themed wedding, we’re going to look at how can you create a show stopping wedding cake with this theme in mind.
Here are four ways to decorate your wedding cake in style.

Confetti Sprinkle

Confetti sprinkle is the perfect firework themed wedding decoration. You could sprinkle the confetti on top of the wedding cake, covering the top fully but having the confetti fade away on the sides. Alternatively, you could sprinkle the confetti in small firework-like batches around the different cake layers.
In terms of colours, you could get the sprinkle in all the colours of the rainbow. If you are going down a more elegant route, you can have golden or silver sprinkle, or if you want to go all out there’s nothing to stop you combining all your options!

Sparklers

Of course, you shouldn’t forget about sparklers. You can top your wedding cake with sparklers and have them set off as you gather for the cake cutting ceremony. The sparkle will look beautiful in a dimly lit room.

You can have other indoor fireworks to accompany the occasion. It will definitely help turn this moment into a spectacle!

Marble Cake

Marble wedding cakes also look stunning. The hazy finish looks almost like the night sky after fireworks have exploded. For the ultimate wow-factor, you want to use a colourful marble design on a black background. This will look gorgeous and your wedding cake is going to be one of the most photographed sights of the day.

Star-shaped Cake

Now, you could also play with the firework theme in terms of the cake design. Instead of opting for a traditional round or boxed cake, create a star-shaped design. You can add layers of different coloured starts with silver or golden pearls decorating the sides of the cake. To top it all off, you could add small cake pops at the top that would look like individual fireworks shooting out of the cake.

If you want your wedding cake to surprise and amaze your guests, these four decoration ideas are definitely worth going for. You’ll have a memorable and fun cake to celebrate your firework theme.
