Firework Crazy Delivery / Collection



IMPORTANT INFORMATION – The couriers are currently struggling to hire class 1 dangerous goods drivers to transport fireworks across the UK. For this reason we are having to suspend deliveries to the following post code areas. KW, IV, AB, PH, PA.  The following postcodes will be subject to a £40 Surcharge. DD, KY, FK, G, PA, ML, EH, KA, DG, TD, LL, LD, SA & TR. We are working oround the clock to offer a solution to those affected. This only affects out of season deliveries at present. Deliveries for the firework season will not be affected as we run our own delivery service.


Our standard delivery service is 1-2 working days (there are no deliveries Saturday or Sunday). Deliveries will be made by our specialist hazardous goods courier or on our own vans by our trained staff. Delivery Details


We try to process and dispatch all orders placed before 11am the same day for delivery within 1-2 days. There are no Saturday / Sunday deliveries, so orders dispatched on a Friday will not be delivered until Monday. If you require next or same day delivery  please call us on 01245 354422 and we will see what we can do.


We’ll send an email and SMS when you order has been dispatched. Under normal circumstances you will receive your delivery the next working day (mon-fri) If you don’t receive this email within 5 working days of your display please call or email us to check your order is on it’s way.

Please Note:

Whilst we will always endevour to deliver on a requested date, we are unable to guarantee this during our busy season. Any dates entered in the comments box will be treated as the latest date you would like your fireworks delivered. We guarantee to deliver ON OR BEFORE this date. Deliveries will be made during normal working hours, Monday – Friday. 8:00am – 6:00pm

Why is firework delivery expensive?

For every order that’s placed we subsidise the packing and delivery costs. We’d like to explain the actual costs of delivering fireworks to you. We’ve broken these down below.


Couriers initial charge = £20 – £100+ depending on area.
Hazardous goods surcharge = £10
Each addtional kilo = £0.40
Special UN Firework Cartons = £3.50 – £7 each – depending on size!
Packaging materials and special labels = £1.00 this covers the costs of the special labels we have to use and all the other packing materials.
Staff time packing = Far too much! – I think they should do it for free, but they don’t agree. 😉


So please understand that we would love to ship all our orders for a few pounds or even for free but we’re not shipping books etc. they are explosives and we swallow as much of the costs as possible.


It is important you use an address where someone will be able to sign for your order. Where possible use a business address for your delivery as it’s more likely that someone will be there. REMEMBER. Legally, fireworks have to be signed for by someone over 18 and identification may be required.

Failed Delivery Attempts.

If the delivery fails due to no one being present at the premises or not old enough, our courier will usually leave a card for you to get in touch to arrange a re-delivery. Please note that re-delivery is subject to a £15 re-delivery fee so please try to ensure that there is someone available to sign for the fireworks. We reserve the right to charge the re-delivery fee.

Ireland / Northern Ireland / Isle Of White / Off Shore Islands / Outside the UK

Unfortunately it’s not possible for us to deliver to any of the locations above. We ONLY deliver to the mainland UK.

Items including free delivery

Certain items on our website include free delivery. Free delivery excludes areas and services that are subject to a surcharge, the Highlands, AM deliveries etc.

Product Availability

We run a live stock system which is 99.9% accurate, but sometimes we come across items that have been mis-boxed or are damaged, this only comes to light during the picking and packing process. If this happens we will endevour to contact you to find a suitable alternative. In the event we have to substitute an item it will be with one of equal or greater value. (we are well known for ensuring you get far better replacements than you ordered!).

Hopefully you will never need to return a product, but if you do, here are the details.
Unwanted Goods.

If you decide that you no longer want the items, you must contact us within seven days of delivery. We will then arrange for our specialist courier to collect the items from you. (It is illegal to send the items through the postal service or an unlicensed courier) The items must be unopened and in their original packaging. However you may open transport packaging to inspect the goods. Refunds will be issued upon receipt and inspection of the goods within 30 days. In addition to these terms, if your order is for a business then we reserve the right to charge a 20% restocking fee.

Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations.

Cancellation Rights

    1. You have the right to cancel this order within seven working days beginning the day after the day on which you receive the goods
    2. If you wish to cancel this contract you must indicate this in writing or another durable medium such as letter, fax, email (provide addresses/email addresses/fax details by which to cancel) within the cancellation period
    3. You (the consumer) have a statutory duty to take reasonable care of the goods while in your possession
    4. You (the consumer) must arrange for the safe return of goods to us, however for fireworks this needs to be done through our specialist hazardous goods courier. the cost of which is to be born by you, failing which we will recover the goods, the cost of which will be deducted from any refund due to you
    5. Upon the cancellation of a contract we shall reimburse any sum paid by or on behalf of the consumer under or in relation to the contract to the person by whom it was made free of any charge (less any charge made in connection with recovery of the goods) within 30 days of cancellation
    6. Where goods do not conform to the implied terms set out under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 the cost of recovering the goods will be borne by ourselves.

Delivery Information

Next Day

 – You will receive your order the following working day from day of despatch (not including Saturday/Sunday). We endeavour to dispatch all orders placed before 12pm the same day although this is not always possible in our busy season, October – December. If you require your order by a certain date enter this in the “order notes” section on the next page. All dates are treated as the latest date for delivery NOT the date you would like delivery.

Hold For Later Delivery

– This option is for those who would like us to hold on to their order and deliver it nearer to the date of their display. You should enter this date in the “order notes” section on the next page.

Collect from Chelmsford Store

– Select this option if you would like to collect your order. Enter the date you would like to collect and AM/PM in the “order notes” section on the next page. Collection is not available on SATURDAY 2nd NOVEMBER 2019. You will be required to bring the card you used to pay with and photo ID before you can collect your order. THESE MUST MATCH.

Add to Existing Order

 – If you already have an order with us and would like to add to it before it is shipped, select this option then enter your existing order number in the “order notes” section on the next page.

Saturday Delivery

 – Enter the date you would like your order delivered in the “order notes” section on the next page. If this is blank your order will be delivered on the next Saturday after the day of ordering. PLEASE NOTE it is not possible to deliver orders on the Saturday either side of Bonfire Night, Christmas or New Year


 – Your order will be delivered before midday the day after it has been dispatched (excluding Saturday / Sunday)

Before 10:30 am

 – Your order will be delivered before 10:30am the day after it has been dispatched (excluding Saturday / Sunday).
