Firework Champions 2018 has just two more nights to go. The second last competition will take place in the dramatic setting of Malvern Hills. The tour is at Eastnor Castle and we here at Firework Crazy have the information you need to get involved.
The competition format
The competition follows the same format as it always has. Three teams compete in a single night to be crowned the Firework Champion of that specific location. There are a total of six nights of competition and as mentioned, Eastnor Castle will be home to the second last competition in 2018.
What makes Firework Champions cool is the voting system for the winner. It all happens on the night, as the audience can pick their favourite via text voting. As ever, the audience will also be treated to a wonderful grand finale on each night by the organisers MLE Pyrotechnics.
Fireworks Champions 2018 Eastnor Castle
Eastnor Castle is one of the loveliest locations. The home of the Hervey-Bathurst family is surrounded by a deer park, arboretum and a beautiful lake. The camping facilities are good so this location is great for a short holiday – with fireworks!
The event is happening on the 8th of September. You will be able to enter the grounds from 5 pm onwards but make sure you enter by 9 pm, as the gates will close for entry then. Tickets are available for purchase right now on the official website.
Prior to the fireworks, which begin after 9 pm, the venue has plenty of entertainment to keep you busy. You can enjoy live performances by different bands and there are special activities for kids as well.
It’s possible to take your own food and drink with you but you can also enjoy food and drink from the many licenced vendors. The castle lawn is great for a picnic!
Who’s performing?
The three exciting teams to perform at Eastnor Castle are:
Atom Fireworks
Atom Fireworks has performed in Firework Champions before. When they made their debut in 2016, they actually took home the top spot! This medium-sized display group knows how to amaze the crowds so they are definitely a team to watch on the night!
MDL
MDL has been part of Firework Champions for years and this experienced team will surely put on a great show. The Wigan-based professional group has tonnes of experience – they’ve conducted displays to high profile clients like Intu Trafford Centre, RAF and Channel 4. Their passion for fire and fireworks always shows!
Stellar Fireworks
The small group started like many firework lovers and grew their love of garden firework displays into a professional business. Stellar Fireworks might not have the same experience as the other two but they are super eager to show their talent. The hungry team will certainly put on a competitive show!
Eastnor Castle is sure to put on a great night of entertainment. So clear your calendar on the 8th of September and go watch stunning fireworks displays in the most dramatic of settings!
