It’s time for the final Firework Champions event of 2017. We’ve already seen some stunning displays and the final night is bound to be another one packed full of fun. The last teams competing in Firework Champions 2017 will get to do so at Ragley Hall – yet another scenic location for this fantastic celebration of fireworks.
When and where is the event?
The final event of Firework Champions 2017 will take place on September 9th. It’ll all happen at Ragley Hall, the historic stately home of the 9th Marquess and Marchioness of Hertford. This iconic building is situated just nine miles west of Stratford Upon Avon in Alcester, Warwickshire. You can check the estate’s website to find out more about this beautiful historic venue.
Firework Champions 2017 at Ragley Hall
As many of you might know by now, Firework Champions is an annual competition for the country’s best fireworks teams. The competition consists of six nights of events, each of which will see three groups competing against each other. The audience will get to choose their favourite via a text message vote.
You can start voting for your favourite firework display after all the teams have performed. You’ll have 15 minutes to vote and the winner will be announced after the traditional final performance by Firework Champions organisers MLE Pyrotechnics.
Of course, the event isn’t just about the fireworks either. You can enter the premises of Ragley Hall at 5pm and spend the afternoon and evening listening to live music and enjoying the tasty food and drink treats. It’s also possible to pack your own picnic basket with treats and bring it with you. The displays will begin at 9.30pm, but you do have to be inside the venue by 9pm.
Who’s performing at Ragley Hall?
The line-up for Ragley Hall is super exciting once again. The three teams looking to take the top spot are:
Illusion Fireworks
One of Oxfordshire’s largest firework display companies, Illusion Fireworks, will be returning for the third time to Firework Champions. In its debut year, Illusion took home the top spot and last year finished second at the Capesthorne Hall event. The group is hoping to recreate the winning feeling again this year with their visual show.
Cotswold Fireworks
The family run firework group will be returning to the competition for the fifth time. They certainly have experience on their side, as they’ve been performing for over 19 years. Cotswold Fireworks has created shows for members of Pink Floyd and Tony Hadley – they are guaranteed to offer something unique and stunning.
PDC Fireworks
Two-time champion PDC Fireworks will take the stage at Ragley Hall. The group took home wins in 2014 and 2015, and they are sure to put on a spectacular performance again this year. You can view their skills in the clip below:
