The wait is almost over. Firework Crazy is about to step up and defend its win from last year’s Firework Champions, albeit at a different venuw. This year, we will be performing in the dramatic setting of the Malvern Hills at Eastnor Castle.
What should you expect from Firework Champions 2017 at Eastnor Castle, and who will we be competing against?
What is Firework Champions about?
Firework Champions is an annual competition comprising six nights of pyromusical spectaculars. Therefore, Firework Champions doesn’t just have one winner each year, but six! The competition takes place in six historic and iconic locations – it’s a fantastic evening of fun and fireworks, while many choose to spend the day at the venue prior to the gates opening to the Firework Champions event.
Each night, three teams will compete against each other and the audience gets to vote for the winner via text message. It is up to you to choose which team managed to create the best pyromusical display on the night. Each event also features a display by MLE Pyrotechnics, the organisers of Firework Champions.
This year, events have already taken place at Newby Hall, Stanford Hall, Belvoir Castle, and Arley Hall.
On September 2nd, attention will turn to Eastnor Castle in Ledbury, Herefordshire.
The Competing Teams at Firework Champions 2017 at Eastnor Castle
The three teams taking part in the competition, happening at the home of the Hervey-Bathurst family, include us here at Fireworks Crazy. We return as champions from last year and we’re committed to wowing the audiences again in 2017. Expect many great fireworks going off to some fantastic music. You can relive our winning performance from last year by watching the clip below:
The other two teams competing against Firework Crazy are:
Shockwave Pyrotechnics
The group is making its debut at Firework Champions. While Shockwave is fairly new to the industry they are still guaranteed to put on a good show, and have a client list including the Ministry of Defence.
Skyburst Fireworks
Skyburst Fireworks is making a comeback to Firework Champions. They last performed at Broughton Hall back in 2014. The group finished third in last year’s British Musical Firework Championships so they are hungry for more success in this year’s competitions.
As mentioned above, the final display will be performed by MLE Pyrotechnics.
How You Can Get Involved

You can book your tickets at the official website for the event. Please note the doors open at 5pm and you have to be inside the venue at Eastnor Castle by 9pm. You can find plenty of live music, interviews and great food in the area so it’s a great way to spend your afternoon. The winner will be crowned at 10.40pm.
We can’t wait to finally perform in front of the crowds again. The event was such a success last year and we are hoping to repeat it all.
We hope to see you at Eastnor Castle on September 2nd!
