As many of you will already be aware, this coming Saturday 6th August, we here at Firework Crazy make our debut at the world famous Firework Champions event. We’ve been invited to participate at this year’s Belvoir Castle event. We were honoured to be asked and are thrilled to be taking part, and we’re looking forward to putting on a hell of a show for everyone in attendance.
Firework Champions Belvoir Castle marks the third event of Firework Champions 2016. We’ll be posting reviews and videos from the two events that have taken place thus far later in the week.
For now, here is everything you need to know about this weekend’s upcoming event. We’d love it if you could get to Belvoir Castle on Saturday evening to support us and say hello.
Belvoir Castle
Belvoir Castle is in an easy to get to location in the heart of Leicestershire, within easy reach of the quaint market town of Grantham from the A1 and from Leicester and Nottingham to the west and the M1 motorway.
Although Belvoir has been the ancestral home of the Duke and Duchess of Rowland for nearly 1,000 years, the current Belvoir Castle is actually the fourth building to have stood in this location since initial groundbreaking in 1067. Rebuilds have been required due to damage done during the War of the Roses, the English Civil War, and an early 19th Century fire. The current Belvoir Castle was mostly completed by 1832.
The Castle is open to the public, so if you’re planning to attend you can have a great day exploring Belvoir Castle and its beautiful grounds.
What about the event itself?
Firework Champions 2016 Belvoir Castle
This year is the 6th time Belvoir Castle hosts a Firework Champions event.
Gates open at 5pm, although if you’re planning to camp on the site and make a night of it you can access the site at 4pm.
Digital tickets, which offer a small saving against paying on the gate on arrival, will be available until 2pm on the day of the event.

There is plenty going on between 5pm and the commencing of the show at 9pm, with music, interviews with the fireworks teams performing, food and drink, and fairground rides to keep the kids entertained.
Meet the Firework Teams
You know all about us here at Firework Crazy already, so rather than talk about ourselves we’ll instead shed some light on the other two pyrotechnic teams that will be performing at Belvoir Castle on Saturday night.
Skydazzle Pyrotechnics
Skydazzle is a family run fireworks company from Newport in Wales, with a reputation built on their creative and exciting pyromusical displays. We’re excited to be going up against the Skydazzle team this Saturday and look forward to meeting them!
Kimbolton Fireworks
Still a family run business after over 50 years, Kimbolton is today the only UK-based manufacturer of display fireworks, as well as providing amazing pyromusical displays and selling a vast range of fireworks.
We even stock a Kimbolton Fireworks line ourselves!
See You Saturday!
We can’t wait to perform at Firework Champions at Belvoir Castle on Saturday evening, and we hope to see as many of you as possible on the night.
Remember to buy your tickets ahead of time to save on the gate price.
