Chinese New Year Fireworks 2019

Chinese New Year celebrations have been taking place across the world this week. The Year of the Pig started officially on February 5 and plenty of communities took to the streets to perform lion dances and set off fireworks. Here are some of our favourite fireworks displays from around the world.

River Hongbao, Singapore

Singapore has been celebrating Chinese Lunar New Year for 33 years with a massive party in River Hongbao. The fireworks display this year featured lots of stunning firework with effects like crackle and brocade. Following the theme, the fireworks were largely red with some gold effects thrown here and there. This display was a fantastic take on lunar fireworks!

Sydney, Australia

Sydney’s New Year’s Eve fireworks are always popular and the Australian city also knows how to celebrate the Lunar New Year. It held a big Chinese New Year celebration at the beautiful Sydney harbour with a massive fireworks show. The video is slightly shaky, as it’s filmed by hand, but it is still a magnificent thing to watch!

Cagayan de Oro City, the Philippines

This magnificent display is not quite as massive as the likes of Hong Kong but the footage just captures the beauty of fireworks so well. It’s filmed with the help of a drone so you get a lovely aerial footage of the fireworks. The display has lots of fun, red and green fireworks with a bit of gold effects thrown in the mix. The multi-coloured fireworks remind us of the barrage firework Pearl Paradise!

Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi

Chinese New Year fireworks also filled up the Abu Dhabi night sky. The display below took place outside The Galleria Mall and it features lots of exciting effects and colour combinations. The massive red fountain-fireworks looked absolutely stunning – they had a bit of that Red Blinkers vibe to them. All in all, this firework display showcased some stunning fireworks that definitely had massive firepower!

Celebrating the Chinese New Year 2019

The Chinese Spring Festival celebrations will come to an end on February 10. We’ve seen some pretty epic firework displays to start the Year of the Pig. This bodes well for the rest of the year, which has plenty of exciting events lined up for you to enjoy. We will, of course, be telling you all about them and sharing the best clips for you to enjoy!

In the meantime, you can find plenty of new fireworks from our online store to give your parties a bit of a twist with fireworks of all types. We here at Firework Crazy wish the Year of the Pig to be a prosperous one for you all!
